About easy Futoshiki
Easy Futoshiki uses a 4×4 grid with digits 1 through 4. Each row and column must contain every digit exactly once, and a handful of inequality symbols between cells tell you which value is larger. With only 16 cells and 4 possible digits, naked singles appear quickly.
Start by scanning for cells where row and column constraints plus inequalities leave only one option. For example, if a row already has 1, 2, and 4, the empty cell must be 3. Inequality symbols narrow things further: if cell A < cell B and A can only be 3 or 4, but B already holds 3, then A must hold something less than 3.
