Word Puzzles

Unscramble letters, spot hidden words, and test your vocabulary under pressure. Each puzzle type runs in short rounds with a clear answer at the end.

How word puzzles work here

Every word puzzle on this site plays as a timed set of rounds. You see the scrambled letters, you rearrange them, and you either get it or you don't. After each answer the puzzle tells you whether you were right and shows the solution, then moves on. No waiting around.

Right now the only word puzzle type is Anagram. Easy mode gives you 4-letter words. By the time you hit Einstein difficulty you're dealing with 8+ letter words where common letter patterns stop helping and you have to actually know the word. Each level has 300 unique puzzles, so you won't run out quickly.

If you get stuck, the first hint (a category like “kitchen tool” or “type of fabric”) is always free. Two more hints reveal the opening letters. Or you can skip and come back to missed ones at the end of the set.

Tips for solving anagrams faster

Look for common letter pairs first: TH, CH, SH, ING, TION. If you spot one of those hiding in the scramble, lock it in mentally and see what the remaining letters could spell. Most English words lean on a small set of these combinations.

When that doesn't work, try vowels. Count them, figure out which syllable shapes are possible, and test words that fit. A scramble with two vowels and five consonants plays very differently from one with three vowels and four consonants.

And if you're genuinely stuck, use the category hint. Knowing the word is a plant or a profession narrows the search space drastically.
