Step01—Meet the board
This is Star Battle.
A 6×6 grid divided into six colored regions (A–F). Place exactly one star (★) in each row, each column, and each region. One strict constraint: no two stars may touch each other — not even diagonally.
Rules in play
- One star per region
- One star per row and per column
- No two stars touch — not even diagonally
Star ★
One star per row, column, and region. Stars can never touch — including diagonally at corners.
Eliminated ✕
This cell cannot hold a star — it is adjacent to a placed star, or its row, column, or region is already filled.
Candidate
A highlighted cell is still a valid position for a star — often the last one in its region after elimination.
