How to Play Mazes

Navigate from the start (S) to the end (E) by tracing a path through the passages.

Desktop: Click adjacent cells to extend your path. Use arrow keys for quick navigation. Press Backspace to undo.

Mobile: Tap adjacent cells to move. Tap a cell already on your path to retract to that point.

Hints: Press H or use the Hint button to reveal the next few cells on the solution path (3 hints available in this mode).

Reveal the solution?

This will show the complete solution path. The puzzle will be marked as "solved with reveal" rather than self-solved.

About easy mazes

Small grids from 8×8 to 12×12 with wide corridors and very few dead ends. If you have never solved a maze before, or you want something quick, start here. The solution path is usually under 30 steps, and there are rarely more than two or three wrong turns you can take.

At this level, you don't need any particular strategy. Just explore — if you hit a wall, backtrack and try another direction. The maze is small enough that trial and error works fine. If you want a little guidance, try the right-hand rule: keep your right hand on the wall and follow it. On easy mazes, this will get you to the exit quickly.

These mazes are also great for printing. The grid is small enough to fit cleanly on a single page with plenty of room for tracing. Check the printable page for ready-to-print worksheets, or use the print button on any maze.

When easy feels too simple, step up to medium — the grid doubles in size and dead ends start appearing.
